ABOUT US | Accomplishments
- Established a state-of-the-art, high-throughput drug discovery & high-content screening laboratory capable of testing >10,000 chemicals a day for drug-like activity.
- Attracted over 120 scientific researchers from Oregon Universities and small bioscience businesses to participate as OTRADI-Affiliated Researchers.
- Together with Oregon's other Signature Research Centers (ONAMI & Oregon BEST), OTRADI was awarded a prestigious $1M i6 Challenge grant from the federal Economic Development Administration/Department of Commerce.
- Successful grant partnering with Oregon researchers and small businesses has allowed us to leverage >$50M in federal and private funding for Oregon.
- Routinely perform fee-for-service work for university researchers, Oregon bioscience companies and national biosci/pharma companies.
- Assembled the "Oregon Collection" — a library of novel, locally-sourced chemical compounds contributed by researchers from OSU, U of O, PSU, and OHSU/VA Medical Center.
- Purchased series of large commercially-available compound libraries to increase screening capacity.
- Successfully completed screens to identify new drugs for the treatment of cancer, bacterial infections, malaria, etc., as well as screening antibodies and performing cytotoxicity assays.
- Actively establish new intra- and inter-university collaborations between affiliated Oregon researchers.
