We have a growing network of > 60 BioMentors consisting of seasoned entrepreneurs and other industry professionals who are willing to offer their assistance and advice on a pro bono basis to entrepreneurs in need. We are constantly seeking dedicated experts to add to our BioMentor roster.

Become a Biomentor

We would be happy to give you a tour of the OBI and discuss ways that you might be able to get involved. We would love to hear your ideas about how we can work together to most effectively meet the needs of life science entrepreneurs and startups.

Our BioMentors are committed to promoting the success of early-stage life science companies and are an invaluable resource for the growing and promising biotech community across the State of Oregon.

Time Commitment

  • Highly flexible – we require a minimum commitment of 1 hour/month.
  • We respect your time and will not allow entrepreneurs to directly reach out to you to schedule their first mentoring session.
  • Scheduling additional BioMentoring sessions or providing a BioMentor’s contact information to a mentee is at the discretion of the BioMentor.

Ways to participate

  • Meet one-on-on with entrepreneurs: in person, over the phone, or via Skype.
  • Participate in, or lead, a training-workshop for a group of entrepreneurs hosted at the OBI.
  • Give a talk in our OBI Lunch and Learn series.
