OTRADI welcomes the opportunity to collaborate with public- and private-sector entities dedicated to the discovery of novel therapeutics for human health. Scientific researchers and companies can partner with OTRADI via two different routes:

Route 1: Submit chemical compounds to OTRADI to be included in the Oregon Collection, a library of novel, locally-sourced, proprietary compounds that OTRADI screens for potential drug-like activity. This greatly benefits the researcher because their compound is now included in high-throughput and high-content screening experiments at OTRADI that determine whether their compound may be effective as a drug targeting a multitude of different disease targets. By partnering with OTRADI, researchers can now take advantage of our world-class equipment and expertise to advance their compounds through the drug discovery process.

Route 2: Submit novel experimental assays to OTRADI, where our assay development team will help to optimize and miniaturize these protocols to produce a customized, high-throughput and/or high-content screening assay. OTRADI will then screen our large commercial compound libraries and/orcompounds from the Oregon Collection against researcher's newly optimized assay to identify unique biological targets or endpoints. By partnering with OTRADI, researchers can now take advantage of our world-class equipment and expertiseto validate and advance their novel experimental assays and/or identify biological targets for drugs.

Commonly asked questions about collaborating with OTRADI:

How do I submit a proposal to OTRADI? Researchers interested in collaborating with OTRADI, by submitting chemical compounds or novel assays, are welcome to submit a proposal detailing their respective project. OTRADI's Scientific Advisory Board reviews potential projects to assess their feasibility and prioritize scheduling of experiments.

How are Collaboration of Fee-for-Service Agreements with OTRADI carried out? When a proposal is accepted by OTRADI's Scientific Advisory Board, OTRADI will perform screenings either as a fee-for-service project or via collaboration agreement with the investigator or company. Collaboration and Fee-for-Service Agreements include a project outline detailing expected deliverables and fees or grant partnering. OTRADI requests that it be acknowledged on manuscripts or grants that include data obtained from screening experiments.
