OBI Appoints New Board Chair and Two New Members to Its Board of Directors
Dan Snyder has been elected as OBI/OTRADI’s new Board Chair. He was most recently the President and CEO for MolecularMD, which was recently acquired by ICON. His experience as a bio-entrepreneur benefits us by ensuring our client companies and all bio-entrepreneurs in the community are well represented.
Liisa Bozinovic was recently elected as an OBI/OTRADI Board Director. She is the Executive Director of the Oregon Bioscience Association, a trade/industry organization. Her experience in workforce training and development along with academia and industry partnerships will bring a new prospective to OBI/OTRADI.
Sandra Shotwell was recently elected as an OBI/OTRADI Board Director. She is the Co-Founder and CEO of Designmedix and Co-Founder and Board Chair of Elex Biotech Inc. Her experience in technology transfer and licensing, active angel investor and as a bio-entrepreneur will bring new levels of experience to OBI/OTRADI’s Board of Directors.

- Bates Medical Systems is pitching at MedTech & Digital Health Demo Day, a pitch event to showcase promising medtech and digital health startups from outside the bay area. This pitch will be in San Francisco on September 18th.

- Sparrow Pharmaceuticals passed $1M capital attracted to support development of safer steroids. They also received an FDA agreement to conduct their next clinical trial as designed, they converted US provisional to PCT patent application, and have allowance of 101st composition of matter patent.
