At OBI, we love welcoming the next generation of scientists and innovators into our space. In April, we had the pleasure of hosting PCC Biotech students for an engaging and educational tour. The visit kicked off with a roundtable discussion featuring representatives from Caravel Bio, Surgivance, Sirona DX, and EnterX Bio, who shared their experiences in the biotech industry and answered thoughtful questions from the students.
Following the panel, students toured several labs to get a closer look at the groundbreaking research and development happening within OBI’s client companies. It was a fantastic opportunity to inspire curiosity and connect students with real-world applications of their studies.
OBI was proud to participate in the inaugural Oregon Innovation Showcase, an exciting event that highlighted the strength and momentum of Oregon’s deep tech and life science communities. The showcase featured a Successful Entrepreneurs Panel, quick pitches from emerging startups, and a Local Investor Panel that shared insights into the region’s funding landscape.
The event concluded with a well-attended Happy Hour, made possible by the Biotechnology Collective—Oregon Entrepreneurs Network, RAIN Catalysts, OHSU, Oregon Bioscience Incubator, and Oregon Bioscience Association—offering a vibrant space for investors, entrepreneurs, and professionals to connect and collaborate.
