SUMMARY:TiE Women Pitch Competition
DESCRIPTION:ABOUT –\nTiE Women is dedicated to Embrace\, Engage and Empower women entrepreneurs across the globe. \nTiE Oregon is hosting its first TiE Women Pitch Competition on September 2nd. This will be a virtual event and the same as our regular Pitch Competitions\, with one twist: all the participating companies must have a woman in their Founding team. \nThe winner will get the opportunity to attend the TiE Global Mega Pitch Competition in Dubai in December where they will compete for a $100k prize against women-led startups from all over the world. Three Runners-up will also be selected for an accelerator workshop.\n \nOur Committee will review the applications and select six finalists (and two back-ups) to present on stage. We pair each of the finalists with a team of TiE Charter Members for coaching and mentoring in the run-up to the Pitch Competition. While using this resource isn’t mandatory\, we have found that the most successful companies engage with and use the feedback from their “champions.”\n \nTIMELINE –\nAugust 14\, 2020 – Application Deadline \nAugust 19\, 2020 – Finalist Announcement \nSeptember 2\, 2020 – Pitch Competition\n \nPITCH COMPETITION –\n \nEMCEE – \nHeather Samarin\nFounder\, Product Rebels\nTiE Oregon Charter Member\nTiE Women Global Committee Member\n \nJUDGES – \nCatherine Blanksby\nCo-Owner\, Gnome Technologies Software\nAngle Investor – TiE Oregon Angels / Oregon Venture Fund\nTiE Charter Member\nCheck back for a complete list of judges\n \nLOGISTICS –\nWhen:  Wednesday\, September 2\, 2020\nTime:  5:30 PM – 8:30 PM\nCost: $5 Members / $15 Nonmembers\nVirtual:  Zoom Webinar details will be available upon registration
