DESCRIPTION:Please join the Portland State Business Accelerator for a conversational Q & A with Vinay Iyengar of Two Sigma\, a systematic investment management firm\, founded with the goal of applying cutting-edge technology to the data-rich world of finance. From infrastructure tools and healthcare to real estate and consumer hardware\, Two Sigma supports data- and computing-driven transformation in every industry. \nVinay joined Two Sigma Ventures in 2020 as a founding member of the firm’s West Coast practice. He focuses on early-stage investments in enterprise software\, machine learning\, marketplaces\, and infrastructure. \nVinay’s background is as a technologist and builder. He has spent time over the years as a researcher\, engineer\, and software entrepreneur\, and shares a deep empathy with founders solving technical problems. Most recently\, Vinay was an investor at Bessemer Venture Partners\, where he sourced and led several early and growth-stage investments. \nVinay earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science and economics from Harvard.
