SUMMARY:PDXWIT Workshop: Funding in Connection with Women Inventorship
DESCRIPTION:Are you a founder of an existing company? Need funding for your side hustle? Then join PDXWIT and ThinkShout for a discussion about women innovation\, the roadblocks that exist when it comes to funding and what we can do as a community to drive the discussion forward. While we have more women in technology or science than ever\, funding and inventorship claims are still at a low\, yet investors supporting women entrepreneurs have found a higher average ROI (10% higher). \nAttorneys Anna McCoy and Janina Malone will explore approaches to support organizations in enhancing women participation at all levels\, including in brainstorming\, invention submission\, and beyond. \nPDXWIT’s mission: Building a better tech industry by creating access\, dismantling inequities and fueling belonging. \nOur events are inclusive. ALL people who support our mission are welcome.
