OBI Client Company Recent Wins

Circumvent Pharmaceuticals

EndoSound

Sirona DX

  • Sirona Dx just passed our CLIA inspection with zero findings! This reflects the hard work and attention to detail by our scientific, regulatory and quality management team members. While we operate under GCLP for clinical trials underway at Sirona Dx the CLIA accreditation is especially important as our business diversifies into new areas with next generation patient sample testing modalities. Stay tuned for some exciting updates in 2026.

SurgiVance Inc.

  • Recently received a matching grant from Business Oregon: $100,000 as well as a matching grant from the state of NY: $200,000

Connecting Students to Careers in Biotech

We recently had the pleasure of participating in the Careers in Biotech event at Oregon State University, where students had the opportunity to explore pathways into Oregon’s growing life science industry. A big thank you to Josefine Fleetwood for helping bring this event together and for her work connecting students with real industry opportunities. We were also proud to have OBI client company SurgiVance Inc represented and sharing valuable insights about careers in biotech and what it takes to move from the lab to building a company. It was inspiring to see so many students thinking about their next steps and engaging with organizations committed to growing Oregon’s life science talent. Moments like this highlight the power of bringing academia and industry together to help the next generation find their place in biotech.

Spotlight on OBI Alum, Trace Biosciences

The 2026 OHSU Innovation Awards brought together an inspiring group of innovators, researchers, and community partners working to turn discoveries into real-world impact. It was especially exciting to see OBI alum company Trace Biosciences recognized as part of the celebration of Oregon’s thriving bioscience community.

Trace Biosciences recently achieved a major milestone with FDA IND clearance for their nerve-specific imaging agent, an important step that moves the company closer to first-in-human studies. We were also proud to see Trace co-founder Summer Gibbs, Professor of Biomedical Engineering at the OHSU Knight Cancer Institute, School of Medicine, recognized among the innovators helping drive Oregon’s life science ecosystem forward.

Congratulations to the Trace team on this exciting progress and on continuing to push innovation from the lab toward meaningful clinical impact.
