Join the Technology Association of Oregon and our partners OTRADI, OBI, Link Oregon, and OCHIN for a week of interactive discussions featuring regional thought leaders in digital health.  We’ll learn about the advancements, people, and organizations that are putting Oregon digital health innovations on the world map.

SESSION TOPICS

AI & DATA
The complexity and growth of data in healthcare means that artificial intelligence (AI) is being used more and more in this area. Many types of artificial intelligence are already used by payers, healthcare providers, and life sciences companies, including diagnosis and treatment recommendations, patient retention and compliance, and administrative activities. This session will discuss current and future applications of AI with respect to healthcare data.

INTERNATIONAL DIGITAL HEALTH ROUNDTABLE
The U.S. is not the only country with a plethora of innovative digital health companies. This session will bring together leading tech startups spanning digital health, robotics, security and data from Israel and around Oregon, as well as technology leaders from major health and wellness organizations and the athletic and outdoor industry here in the Northwest. The session is organized in partnership with the Israeli Consulate, the Israeli Chamber of Commerce, and the Oregon Israel Business Alliance, a TAO initiative that fosters business connections between tech companies in Oregon and Israel.

INNOVATION IN HEALTHCARE DELIVERY MODELS
With the onset of COVID-19, telehealth, telemedicine and virtualized care have arrived. From public and preventive health to physical and mental health care, telehealth and telemedicine are also transforming the business side of care, for patients and healthcare practitioners. This session will facilitate a discussion about how to ensure critical healthcare services reach all of our communities, not just the urban cluster. From economically disadvantaged communities to bridging the rural broadband divide, the future of our region depends on affordable and ubiquitous access to healthcare services.

POLICY & INNOVATION
Innovations pave the way for hospitals and health systems to evolve and truly change the way health services are delivered. However, they are more than new technologies. Effective transformation requires formulating new policies regarding payment strategies, care models, data, and social determinants of health.  This session will explore national examples of innovative policies and programs at the state and local levels and what it will take for Oregon to be a national leader in healthcare innovation.
