Join Marcus Carter II, Director of Social Equity at Cinder, & Zapproved in a discussion that will interrogate antiracism in the workplace.

From the speaker:

“What we designate as ‘racial progress’ is not a solution to that problem. It is a regeneration of the problem in a particularly perverse form.” – Derrick Bell

How do we understand the miscalculation of race, white supremacy, and racism? And what is the cost?

“Whiteness is more a condition than a color. It is a structured advantage that is impersonal, institutional, collective, and cumulative.” – George Lipsitz, “The Possessive Investment in Whiteness”

Marcus Carter (he/him) is the Director of Social Equity at Cinder. He is an Organizer, Teacher, and Catalyst dedicated to transforming the cultural, material, and systemic conditions of our workplace and society.
