Now more than ever, startup enterprises tend to operate on an international scale. Given the importance of intellectual property (IP) for a startup company’s funding rounds, an international view of IP protection is a necessity. In this presentation, Jeff Morton will cover: key patent and trademark markets to be aware of; important differences in patentable subject matter and trademark use requirements in key international markets; and best practices for developing a sound international IP portfolio.
